May 2009, countryside around Ferrara: five boys (Lorenzo Romani – electric guitar, Alessandro Padovani – drums, Paolo Brini – bass guitar, Chiara Scaglianti – keyboard and Enrico Bernardini – vocalist and acoustic guitar), all from completely different musical experiences, decide to begin an unique project for the musical environment of Ferrara. It is the origin of the progressive band Marchesi Scamorza.

After a summer spent among covers and big classics, they decide to search for their own musical identity drafting their first original song, “L’Uomo Dall’Ombra Lunga”.

At the beginning of the summer of 2010 the keyboardist Chiara leaves the band, letting Enrico Cazzola to replace her during the concert season. He immediately kicks the band into high gear, and up to September 2010 they have three original songs, which musical level is definitely high.

In February 2012 the band starts to record the album “La Sposa del Tempo”, their long desired aim which also marks a new beginning for them. At the end, the album will contain more than eight songs, plus an intro conceived to contextualise the album.

In the meantime summer is on Marchesi’s side, who triumph in San Patrizio Rock contest, taking back home their first prize and a trophy for the novelty of their songs. They emerge rather well in the musical environment of Ferrara, reaching the top of the local musical preferences.

After the publication of their CD in October 2012 they receive positive reviews and comments both from Italy and abroad, even if they have just debuted.

Following the online publication of the album, the band begins to shot its first videoclip conceived for “Autunno”, the final song of the CD.

Marchesi begin an european adventure in 2013 thanks to Colossus Project and Marco Bernard, who get in touch with them for realising a single based on the book “Decameron” by Giovanni Boccaccio.

They really raise the bar in November 2014 hiring record producer Mike 3rd to record their second studio album at Prosdocimi Recording Studio, (Album out under Ma.Ra.Cash Records fall 2015). Sounds richness is more mature and they make music at a definitely higher level.

After the release of Colossus Project’s album, they are contacted again in 2015 for the closing of the “Decameron” cycle. They then record the last single for this project, a perfect union between music and literature, again at  Prosdocimi Studio.
